Taylor Swift stuns on VMAs red carpet in punk-inspired plaid corset
View Date:2025-01-11 09:31:08
LONG ISLAND, N.Y. — Lights, camera and smile! Taylor Swift has arrived at the UBS Arena for the 40th anniversary of the MTV Video Music Awards.
The "Fortnight" singer stunned in a Dior plaid corset and attached skirt over black hot pants, thigh-high boots and fingerless gloves that stretched past her elbows. The outfit was almost straight off the 2025 Dior resort runway collection, which was first shown in June.
She paired the outfit with 30-carat Lorraine Schwartz pear shaped yellow diamond earrings surrounded by black Jade.
Swift is up for 12 awards Wednesday night including: song of the summer, VMAs Most Iconic Performance, video of the year, artist of the year, song of the year, best collaboration, best pop, best direction, best cinematography, best visual effects, best art direction and best editing.
Swift has a lengthy history with the VMAs extending back to 2008 when she was nominated for "Our Song." Since then, she has won 23 times and could make history Wednesday by winning video of the year for a fifth time and passing Beyoncé's 25 solo-artist wins.

The awards show is the latest appearance in a busy week for the star. On Tuesday, she officially endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president. And over the weekend, she made a series of outings with her boyfriend Travis Kelce.
